ONE BIG JOKE

“What’s your best asset?” This really bothered me since the day Ma’am Lynnie told us to blog something about the said question. Basically, when somebody asks "What's your best asset?", others usually answer you based on your physical features or aspect. They say it's your EXPRESSIVE EYES because they show-off your emotions. Some say your SKIN 'cause not like others, it complements the way you look 'cause your skin's not too fair and not too dark. These are some of the answers i got from friends. Actually, I don't consider physical feature/s as an asset. Simply because your looks doesn't define you as an individual neither a basis on how you treat others. It doesn't always mean that if someone has good looks, s/he also has a good heart, well lucky to those who do. So, let me start this by saying What's my best asset?

Well, frankly speaking, I really don’t know what to say. Last night, I went online and start chattin’ with some friends. I grabbed the opportunity to ask them “What’s my best asset?”. Each of them has many answers though I’m only asking for the best. Funny isn't it? Well anyway, all of them have this “common” answer and it’s my PERSONALITY. They said I have this unique way of treating others. I am somebody who’s not hard to deal with, I treat somebody as if we knew each other for a period of time even if we just met and I serve as an inspiration to some. I wasn't expecting that they’ll say these actually. One of my friends also said this “You don't stress-out yourself to be someone else..you show the real you..and you rock!..you don't care about what people think about you..you just show them what you are..”. Upon reading their answers, I felt sudden happiness because they appreciated me. Well, you know, it feels great when somebody compliments you for the traits you have especially if you didn't put any effort or made something to please others. It’s good to know that by just being who you are, you inspire others, you make others happy and you make them true to you. I guess this is the reason why even though I don’t have a lot of friends, I am still happy because they are true to me and in their little ways, they inspire me. :)
